Lesley Davies-Baptista

Legacy Director

Lesley Davies-Baptista began working with fundraising and special events for the Home more than 15 years ago. She currently serves on the 2021 GBCH Board of Directors as Legacy Director. Lesley also sits on the Executive Committee and oversees donor relations and direct funding for the Home. Lesley graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, with a B.A. in International Affairs, and a minor emphasis in Mass Media and Economics. After returning to The Bahamas, Lesley held careers in both Media and Marketing, including managing Cool 96 Radio Station and VP of Marketing for Abaco Markets Limited. Currently, she manages the family business, Paint Fair, in Grand Bahama. With a long history of being an active member of the community, Lesley has sat on various boards both in Grand Bahama and abroad - including serving as the Southern Region Director for the Paint & Decorating Retailers’ Association for several years. Presently, she is on the Board of Directors for the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce and Lucaya International School. Lesley is an active member of Lucaya Presbyterian Church and is the Sunday School superintendent. She is married to Eric Baptista and the couple have two children, Amelia and Eli.
